Terrain and Scenery - Wrecked Warhound Titan #3

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. Following on from Monday's other wrecked titan terrain, the other half! This is a wrecked Warhound titan to be used as terrain. It is also 3D printed much to my chargrin as I like to support Forge World when buying actual titans, but £457 is way too much to spend for a piece of terrain, even for mad ol' me with my many many FW official Titans!
Like before, I took inspiration from a mate's own titan, this above is John's Legio Ignatum Warhound "Omnissiah's Fang" so I have recreated in it's image.
The 3D print has several scars from battles, unfortunately it's legs have been taken from beneath them. The smoke marker is also 3D printed.
The quality compared to a FW resin one is very poor with wrong scale and print lines, however as terrain it is perfectly adequate.

The scale of this print bought on eBay is nowhere near to scale, noticeable on the weapons but less so on the main bulk of the torso, however as terrain it's not really noticeable and doesn't detract.
And for ease of storage and transport to events where this will be used as scatter terrain, the smoke marker is magnetised.

Terrain and Scenery - Wrecked Warhound Titan #2

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. The only good use of a 3D printed Titan in my book is as a wreck terrain piece. I am an avid fan of Forge World and do my best to support them with my numerous official titans, but I am loathe to spend £457 on a piece of scenery so a quite crappy 3D printed version will do for that! This is PLA line printed and boy can you see the layer lines but as terrain it's completely usable.
In honour of co-author here, Lord TITANium H's own Legio Crucius titans I painted to match his Warhound Titan "Blood of Caldos". The first wreck was Legio Mortis, seen above and HERE.
The smoke was another 3D print and clipped to size on the base so match the hip ring, to simulate some catastrophic explosion leaving just the legs! The torso is being used for another terrain wreck maximising the terrain pieces to spread around the battlefield.
On the base is the remains of the blown off arms, a Vulcan Mega Bolter and a Turbolaser Destructor.
The smoke was simply painted black all over then sprayed from above with grey and lighter spray of bone and a red light spray on base to simulate fires burning. Simple and really effective.
As you can see the 3D print is not to scale to the official Forge World titans and of poorer quality but as terrain it does the job admirably and the scale isn't actually noticeable unlike the shot above!
The base and smoke marker are also magnetised so they can be detached for ease of storage and transport to Titan Walk events. The first wrecked Warhound terrain can be found HERE.

Necron Dynasty - Chronomancer Cryptek

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. The latest addition to the Necron Dynasty is a Chronomancer Cryptek, armed with Aeonstave.
I love the dendrites and how one is wrapping around the Aeonstave. His whole lower body consists of these, not too dissimilar from an octopus i guess.
The Aeonstave is not much but decent enough, in game the real bonus is in 9th, he can be a Cryptek with Cronomatron, a device confers a 5++, or in 10th, the squad he is attached to hits boons and the Cryptek confers move-shoot-move to the Unit and he wears a Timesplitter Mantle giving a to-hit bonus.
A nice addition to the ever growing Necron Tomb

Legio Astorum - Warbringer Nemesis Titan - Laser Blaster Weapon

Hello Titanseers, I've upgraded my Warbringer Nemesis Titan weapon arm from a Gatling Blaster to a Laser Blaster for better reach and shield penetration. After a couple of Titan Walks I found the Gatling Blaster too short ranged for the role the Warbringer Nemesis - it sits back in the back field and volleys fire into the enemy from afar. The extra range of the Laser Blaster and the Shieldbane will help drop shields before the main armament opens up!
The weapon kill banner from the previous arm was re-mounted on the new arm using some small 2mm magnets.
To fit the power cables a small raising of the sockets was needed, I converted these from the elbow joints not needed for newer titans like the Warbringer Nemesis.
I added the heat staining to the muzzles using washes - Nuln, Drakenhoff Nightshade, Hormagaunt Purple and Seraphim Sepia.
The rear Mechanicus cog motif was painted and an Astorum sigil added to the centre.

Mechanicum / Adeptus Mechanicus - Secutarii Axiarch

Hello Titanseers and all, thanks for dropping by. The recent released Forge World characters peeked my interest when there was a character to lead my Mechanicum Secutarii forces, a Secutarii Axiarch.
He/It is armed with an Arc Lance and Mag-Inverter shield and sheltered by a harmonic Kyropatris Field Generator. The mini also has a pistol so not sure what rules that will have.
The Arc Lance was a 12in, S6, Assault 1, AP-1, Dmg1 weapon, but when damaging vehicles is D3 damage. In melee it is also S+3, so S6, AP-1, Dmg1 and against vehicles D3 damage. The Kyropatris Field Generators so have a 5++. Where the Shield comes into force is in melee, it gives a 4++ against melee weapons and if an unmodified save from a melee weapon hit is a six - that inflicts a mortal wound on the attacking unit after the attacks have been resolved - back in your face! I hope this made it into Legends for 40K rules not just 30K, regardless, it's a cool mini I had to have to lead my 50 Hoplites and 50 Peltasts.
Legio Astorum sigil on his cloak to mark his devotion.
And protecting his charge, a Warhound Titan, from infantry attacks.

Relictors Space Marine Chapter - Terminator Captain w/ Thunder Hammer

Hello Readers, thanks for dropping by. I have added a Terminator Captain to my extensive Relictors Battle Companies. These are obviously 1st Company which bolster the 5th and 4th Companies. This was the Blood Angel Captain from the Start Collecting boxset.
I removed all the blood drops I could find, leaving only the leg greave, blood-drop engraved bolt casing and the leather pterges.
In place of the blood drops, I added Crux Terminatus icons, on the chain to front and back and Thunder Hammer. And I added a 'tactical' Storm Talon engine nacell of some unfortunate Ultramarine to stand on, (maybe Lord H's?) angling the head and arm to look downwards slightly.
The shoulder already comes with a raised Skull icon, which suits my vast array of Relictors badges already done using the skull decal, swapping only recently to the custom side-skull decals, so this one can stay as.

Terrain and Scenery - Wrecked Warhound Titan #1

Hello All, thanks for dropping by. The only good use of a 3D printed Titan in my book is as a wreck terrain piece. I am an avid fan of Forge World and do my best to support their continued production of Titans - 7 Mars Warhounds so far, and 3 Lucius, plus Warbringers, Reavers and Warlords... anyway, even with my collection I am not mad enough to make a wrecked one from a FW model! (Warhounds are £457.50 without Arms at time of posting), so to have a cool terrain piece I sought out an alternative.
A poor Mortis Legio Warhound, as my most common adversary at Titan Walks has been Drake_Seta's or Winters Warhammer's Mortis Engines. I added a big skull icon from the bits box plus two FW skulls for the arm mounts.
The Plasma Blastgun is out of scale and a lot fatter than the genuine article and overall the 3D print is nowhere near as detailed as the resin FW kits, but as a terrain piece its ideal for a quick and dirty paint job as wrecked titan. The magnetic coils of the Plasma Blastgun are powered down from my usual blue glow pulse designs to the copper mag-coils un-energised.
The head is at an acute angle, neck-broken as the Titan face-dived into the mud after losing a leg from a well aimed loyalist shot!
I added the neck cables as trailing cables beneath the titan, one powering the Vulcan Mega Bolter, and...
... the other detached underneath the torso to the head.
The detached leg I chose to do separate from the main base as the leg mass was quite heavy and would mean the unsupported severed leg would bend the fibreboard/hardboard base. It also means you can make the terrain more spread out and tell a story - and more practical for using the terrain on a 40K battle if wanted.
I snapped off some of the knee gear and pistons to show the damage from the killing blow
And here is the proud Scion who downed the Engine, a Cerastus Knight Lancer of Legio Astorum ;)

Cheers, Siph (25pts - Warhound but simpler)

Terrain and Scenery - Sanctum Cloisters

Hello all, thanks for dropping by. I have a few Pegasus Hobbies building tiles left over from when I previously made large titan line-of-sight blocking terrain pieces, so I put them to good use making 'normal' 40K sized terrain - a cloistered Sanctum block ruins.
I added some propaganda posters
I made some tiles from cereal box card

Reaver Titan - Chainfist Close Combat Weapon

Hello Titanseers, welcome and thanks for dropping by. Regular readers know we love Titan's here at WeeMen, both of us are active Admins at Titan Owners Club and our titan collections continue to grow. The Reaver Close Combat weapon Chainfist is long overdue a re-release and is OOP, so an alternative was sought.
Here is the original on Lord TITANium's Reaver. The newer design is slightly longer on the blade part.
I found this online and had a 3D printing service print it for me as I don't have a 3D printer.
It is a mighty weapon
And a good print, once painted you can see the detail come out.
And the Reaver who will sport these weapons is yet to do, it will be a while until I complete this 3rd Reaver. It will also have the added complications of having interchangeable arms for ranged weaponry - so magnetised arms and shoulders where the CC weapons affix. It looks huge in the above photo however the first photo above shows its actually quite nicely scaled and about 2 inches longer than the OOP FW one.
And next to the other Reaver Close Combat weapon from Forge World, the Titan Powerfist/Claw, both are magnetised and have a pin to prevent rotation due to the angles of the arm weight so the magnet stays connected firmly.
And a comparison of the Adeptus Titanicus Chainfist where the inspiration clearly comes from!

Cheers, Princeps Seniores Siph (5pts extra weapon)
